
someone asked, "where are the right wing comedians?" a good question in the wake of letterman's half assed apology.
i don't agree that ideology kills the humor. some very partisan jokes can eviscerate the opposition. but it's a very fine line. and right wing audiences won't pay to sit through unfunny jokes just because they agree with the politics. while leftists will swear through clenched teeth that they love rosie o'donnel, whoopie goldberg, joy behar, janeane garafalo, kathy griffin, and a hundred other bores just because they vote the same way.
any hack with three minutes to fill in an eight minute set knows he can get an audience of san francisco tools to applaud just by repeating "bush is hitler'. this gives leftists a tremendous advantage on the ground.
